I’ve only read one of the books on the list, The Affinities by Robert Charles Wilson. I highly recommend  it! This is the kind of book that you need to read quietly, thoughtfully, and then let it soak in gently. It says a lot about family, friendship, and the ties that bind us into social groups.

I bought Arvida, by Samuel Archibald, but have not got to reading it yet. I grew up in Arvida, but I have a feeling I might not  recognize the goings-on!
