It’s been a rough year for the entertainment industry, with so many major stars passing away, beginning with iconic rock star David Bowie back in early January and ending, at Christmas time, with not only Star Wars’ Princess Leia, Carrie Fisher, but her mother, Debbie Reynolds, who suffered a fatal stroke, apparently, just one day after relaying news of her daughter’s death to the public! We’ve lost, as well, Prince, both Keith Emerson and Greg Lake of prog rock group ELP, and Montreal’s own Leonard Cohen, to name just a few from the arena of music. Heavyweight champ Mohammed Ali has left us, as well,as has beauty queen, socialite and B-movie actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, who starred in the ’50s sci-fi “classic” Queen of Outer Space! While, some, like Cohen and Gabor, died after having lived a long life, many, like Bowie and Fisher, left us far too soon. RIP, all.
