The first collection of Orcs in Space will be arriving in bookstores and comic shops on October 6th! Now is a great time to contact your preferred bookseller and pre-order the book!

The next issue and next arc of Orcs in Space is gonna be here before you know it… Just a short one month break to let everyone catch their breath before we get going!

The orcs are… still in space! Gor, Mongtar, and Kravis go on a quest to infiltrate a shipyard guarded by a robot army to help their ship’s AI, D.O.N.A., discover her origins. While exploring a scrap heap, they run into the Cyber-Scrapper, who offers to help–but is he friend or foe?

Out TODAY! Orcs in Space #1+2 ✨

Well, it’s been a long time coming, but the first double-sized issue of Orcs in Space is arriving at your local comic book store TODAY!

I think you are really gonna enjoy this mega mash-up of the first two issues… I’m actually pretty stoked that the good folks at Oni Press decided to package this into a double issue, cause you really get a big chunky taste of the wild world that Kravis, Mongtar, and Gor find themselves in… The second part of the story is where things really take off. Plus Gor cuts someone in half, so that’s pretty cool.

July 10: Special Guest speaker!

MonSFFA is excited to welcome local comic book creator François Vigneault to our upcoming meeting!

François is a Montreal-based cartoonist whose works include the acclaimed sci-fi graphic novel TITAN (Oni Press, 2020/Editions Pow Pow, 2017), and the new monthly comedy series Orcs in Space(Oni Press, 2021) coming out on July 7th.François has been nominated for a number of awards (and has even won a few of them), and he was recently the recipient of a grant from the Canada Arts Council for his upcoming graphic novel Blue Moon, which he calls “a bit like The Bloody Chamber by way of Blade Runner.”

In addition to presenting his own work,François will be discussing sci-fi and fantasy in graphic novels, his artistic influences, the broader Montreal comic arts scene, and anything else the MonSFFA members would like to chat about!

TITAN is available in both English and French online and at your favorite local bookstore. Additionally,François is offering MonSFFA members free shipping on signed and sketched copies of his books through his ETSY shop with the coupon code MONSFFA21 (valid through July 31, 2021).
